Creating video content for this project brought an unexpected result.

Based on the digital video captured in 3D, we are able to create a 3D model of the reef.

The video captured with illumination with a wavelength of 450 nm or less (blue or UV) makes it possible to determine both living parts of the reef and the species of the animals living on it too.

Reef fluorescence

Daylight illumination with color temperature 5800 K (close to sunlight)

The combination of both colors allows to visually see the living areas of the reef.

Using this data, you can create a digital 3D model of coral reefs, taking into account existing biodiversity. In the future, we are going to observe the changes occurring on the reef, and in case of the coral’s death, we have procedure to revive them and reconstitute in primeval shape and condition.
